9. Ellsworth Pastimes

A couple dancing brings us to the next reveal; a winning basketball team in the 1950’s which is a big part of the Maine experience and our local culture. This contemporary high school basketball player throws the ball to shoot the winning basket of the final game. Author Ruth Moore wrote The Walk Down Main Street in 1960 about basketball, coming of age, and small mill town in coastal Maine ~ The small town was Ellsworth.
