6. Birdwatchers and Hikers

A group of bird watchers and hikers represent different generations looking up into the sky and admiring the native birds that live along Ellsworth’s Union River.

In this part of the mural, birds morph into fish moving up the wall (river), which are essential to our environment, and also to the Native Americans and past symbolism of native land.
